Our vision for Waterford Township is to create a community where residents are heard, infrastructure is strengthened, and our natural and cultural heritage is preserved for future generations. We are committed to serving with integrity, transparency, and collaboration.

Clear & Transparent Leadership

Resident Engagement:

Strengthen representation and participation so that every resident’s concerns and ideas are heard and acted upon.

Public Safety Support:

Support Waterford Township’s police, fire, and EMS departments with the resources and training they need to serve our community effectively.

Environmental Stewardship:

Advocate for the protection of local farms and natural landscapes to preserve our environmental heritage and promote sustainable growth.

Responsible Development:

We believe in responsible development that protects our natural environment while also growing our local economy. By encouraging smart projects that respect our surroundings, we can strengthen our tax base and ensure a thriving future for our residents.

Integrity in Governance:

Stand against corrupt practices, prioritizing residents’ needs over special interests, and ensuring transparency in all decision-making.

Infrastructure Improvement:

Prioritize road repaving and resurfacing projects to enhance safety, improve transportation, and maintain the township’s infrastructure.

Active Listening:

Engage in meaningful dialogue with residents to address concerns and collaborate on solutions that benefit the entire community.

Thoughtful Policy:

Make informed, deliberative decisions, ensuring policies reflect careful consideration rather than unquestioned approval.

Stephanie Jones-Freitag

Stephanie Jones-Freitag is running for a second term on the Waterford Township Committee.

My family and I have lived in Waterford since 2014. We purchased a home here because Waterford is the perfect mix of semi-rural living with easy access to everything, it is the best place to grow our family. I love that nature is right out our doorstep and every imaginable convenience is nearby. Over the years we have experienced the generosity of our community first hand, from the devotion of countless volunteers in the sports rec programs and community groups to the dedication of our officials and first responders not only in emergency situations but in public outreach as well. I am proud that I have made Waterford my home.

In my first term as Committeewomen I learned a great deal and it has been my pleasure to be a part of decision making processes that have benefitted our town. In the past 3 years, this committee has voted in favor of improvements to our buildings and grounds, roads, recreation facilities and new construction on Haines Blvd which will soon begin to positively affect our town’s tax base.

In addition to the positives that have been added to our town I am proud to say that I have also voted ‘NO’ when I felt Waterford’s best interests were not being served. From state “mandated” ordinances that I believe infringe on the property rights of homeowners to local decisions that do not benefit the majority, my record shows I am not afraid to vote ‘No’ when necessary.

I am hopeful to continue to serve my community and ask for your vote to allow me to do so.

Running for Waterford Twp. Committee

Edward Yucis

Ed is a lifelong resident of Waterford Township, proud to call this community his home. After graduating from Drexel University with a degree in Construction Management, I built a career as a general contractor specializing in commercial construction. Owning and operating a successful business has given me a strong understanding of how to support local economies, manage budgets responsibly, and see projects through from start to finish.

For the past five years, I’ve served on Waterford Township’s Joint Land Use Board, where I’ve gained firsthand experience with the planning and development needs of our town. That service has strengthened my commitment to helping Waterford grow in a thoughtful, sustainable way.

My wife and I chose to build our home here because we knew this was where we wanted to raise our family. Today, we’re the proud parents of an 18-month-old son, and like so many families, we care deeply about the future of our community.

As a candidate for Township Committee, I’m focused on revitalizing and strengthening our town. My priorities are simple:

Support the businesses already here while attracting new ones that bring jobs and opportunity.
Invest in smart infrastructure and maintain safe, well-kept public spaces.
Make local government more responsive, transparent, and accessible for residents.

I believe in common-sense decision making and working collaboratively with residents, first responders, and fellow committee members to address real needs. I’m ready to roll up my sleeves and get to work—for our families, our businesses, and our town’s future.
